Engineers say test it and ship it, or shut the lab down. Others imply everything will emerge from a society of agents. Both are partly right, but I think both make a deep error, and it's one that matters for designing Minds for Our Minds.
Artificiality Co-founders, Helen and Dave Edwards, gave a presentation at the House of Beautiful Business titled: Are We Too Obsessed with Intelligence?
We returned to the House of Beautiful Business' annual gathering for the fourth time to reflect on the question: Are We Too Obsessed with Intelligence?
💡
“Helen and Dave have a unique ability to describe what it means to be human in the age of AI. They prompt an audience to think beyond the technology and to consider how technology can be both humanizing and dehumanizing. They are masters in translating complex issues into compelling, relatable stories, and theirs was the first presentation about AI that reassured me that, yes, we can do this, a beautiful future is possible with AI.” —Tim Leberecht, Co-CEO, House of Beautiful Business

This month's topic is Agentic AI aka AI Agents, a relatively new type of AI system that can pursue complex goals using capabilities to perceive, reason, and act.
